NEW DEMAND JUSTICE AD URGES GEORGE MASON TO STAND WITH SURVIVORS AND FIRE KAVANAUGH FROM PROFESSOR GIG

New Digital Ad Supports George Mason Students Who’ve Protested Kavanaugh’s Hiring Due to Sexual Assault Allegations Against Him

WASHINGTON, DC—Demand Justice announced Wednesday it will run digital ads encouraging George Mason University students, parents, alumni, and supporters to urge the school to reconsider its decision to hire Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to teach a law school course this summer.

The ads come amid protests by George Mason alumni and active students who strongly oppose Kavanaugh’s hiring due to the sexual assault allegations against him. A student group, Mason 4 Survivors, has been putting pressure on university leadership to cut ties with Kavanaugh, launching an online petition that has already generated over 4,000 signatures and organizing protests on campus.

“Brett Kavanaugh has been credibly accused of sexual assault by multiple women whose allegations have not been thoroughly investigated,” said Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon. “His confirmation to the Supreme Court does not absolve him of guilt, and he should not be given a platform to teach. We stand with survivors and urge the George Mason University administration to fire Kavanaugh.”
